As the Career Exploration Coordinator for United Way of the Blue Mountains, I help students explore purposeful career pathways, connect their interests and strengths to future opportunities, and gain meaningful exposure to the world of work. I work closely with schools, employers, workforce organizations, community partners, and families to help young people better understand the many career options available to them, the education and training that can help them get there, and the people and connections that can support them along the way.
An important part of my role is building relationships and learning about the great work already happening throughout our region. By sharing information, strengthening connections, and identifying opportunities for collaboration, I hope to create more opportunities for students to connect with employers, experiences, mentors, and resources that help them develop a sense of purpose and belonging, build social capital, and make informed decisions about their futures.
I am passionate about helping young people see what is possible and giving them opportunities to explore those possibilities firsthand. Whether through career exploration activities, employer connections, hands-on experiences, or community partnerships, my goal is to help students better understand who they are, where they want to go, and who can help them get there, while building the confidence and agency to take their next steps.
I was born and raised in Walla Walla and have called Prescott home for the past 16 years. I bring 12 years of experience in education and five years in social services and nonprofit work. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Health Science and have always been passionate about building relationships, supporting young people, and creating opportunities for them to thrive.
Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, attending live music events, painting, and spending quality time with my husband and our two children.
