Title: Community Results Coordinator
Reports to: Executive Director
Job Classification Non-Exempt, Full-time

Elevate:
Elevate is a regional cradle to career partnership that seeks to increase educational attainment (postsecondary degree or credential). United Way of the Blue Mountains powers the initiative by convening partners and facilitating collaboration. A Steering Committee made up of representatives from around the region sets goals and provides strategic direction. Working Groups are organized around priority areas identified by the Steering Committee to develop frameworks for action and implement change. Elevate serves communities in Columbia and Walla Walla counties, and the Milton-Freewater area.

Summary of Position:

The Community Results Coordinator is a full-time position with United Way of the Blue Mountains (UWBMT). The community results coordinator supports the development, facilitation, implementation, monitoring, and management of results-based, collective impact initiative, Elevate, in Columbia and Walla Walla counties, WA and the Milton-Freewater area through a collaboration with schools, community organizations, business community and volunteers. The community results coordinator is charged with developing relationships with various sectors to engage them in efforts to implement a shared community vision to increase educational attainment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

With guidance from the Admin Team, develop and implement a yearly work plan with quarterly objectives that reflect the duties and responsibilities as described below:

Supporting Steering Committee and Workgroup Meetings:

  • Build and maintain relationships with Admin Team, Steering Committee, Workgroup co-chairs, and Workgroup members.
  • Provide support to Steering Committee and Working Group co-chairs to facilitate meetings, assisting in preparation of meeting materials, and ensure meeting summaries are completed and distributed timely.
  • Facilitate the establishment of indicators to measure progress.

Development:

  • Identify potential funding sources to support Elevate’s goals and priorities.
  • Write grants and grant reports as needed.

Facilitation and Stakeholder Management:

  • Initiate and foster collaborative partnerships with cradle through career stakeholders to accelerate outcomes and ensure sustainability of partnership efforts.
  • Engage stakeholders to align the work of multiple partners to advance collective goals and track progress to achieve results.
  • Oversee the development of performance measures to track progress, use qualitative and quantitative data to drive improvement and report progress to stakeholders.

Communication:

  • Provide regular reports on progress towards identified goals and objectives including quarterly reports for United Way fundraising goals.
  • Create yearly summary reports of Elevate’s progress for the Steering Committee, United Way’s Board, and external audiences.
  • The following duties may be done in coordination with a communications coordinator or staff:
    • Developing communications materials as Elevate evolves, potentially including summary documents, newsletters, press releases, brochures, FAQs, and other items;
    • Collaborate on the development of web, social media, and communication strategy.
    • Other roles/duties will be assigned as necessary to assist the United Way of the Blue Mountains and move Elevate forward.

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Work experience in the education sector
  • Three years of related work experience
  • Strong project management, analytical, and strategic planning skills; values differences and diversity.
  • Demonstrated communication skills including ability to interact with a variety of external and internal audiences.
  • Skills and experience working with diverse stakeholders and community building.
  • Experience with data collection, monitoring, and reporting outcomes to a broad range of stakeholders
  •  Ability to travel throughout the region
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite, Google Drive, Office 365

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree
  • Bilingual English and Spanish, strongly preferred

  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks and to meet deadlines and expectations
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Experience facilitating large multi-sector groups
